Background of Atkinson Family

We are descendents of Thomas Atkinson of Milford, Sherburn in Elmet, Yorkshire. He married by licence, Mary Brown of Saxton in Elmet, Yorkshire on the 4th of May 1752 at Church Fenton, Yorkshire. She was baptised on the 2nd February 1725/6. Most of our family came from the West Riding of Yorkshire, mainly around Saxton in Elmet, Sherburn in Elmet, Milford, Monk Fryston and Pontefract.
